Le Tertre du Lys D'or Sauternes 2006/2009
Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend. An unctuous, succulent Sauternes that has just reached its drinking window, and perfect for Christmas. Molten gold in colour with a fantastic bouquet of honey, candied fruits and lime blossom. The palate is rich and powerful with flavours of fig and quince, then a balancing toastiness which brings a savoury element. Fantastic layers of acidity combine with the complexity and texture to bring a very long fine finish.

An excellent wine from this renowned estate in Barsac. The wine is fresh, and displays wonderful and plentiful aromas of fresh pineapple, mango and other citrus fruits. The wine is well balanced, with not too much sugar in the mouth which gives the wine finesse and a wonderful character.
