Since 1771 the Fabre family have been owners of Château Fabre in the heart of the Corbières region of the Languedoc. The present owner, Louis Fabre, continues the ancient tradition and brings his own talents to the estate blend of classic varieties of Carignon, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. Chateau Bechereau, Lalande de Pomerol 2016
Chateau Béchereau has been family owned since the early 19th century and has vineyards in Neac on excellent clay soils. Half of the wine is fermented in stainless steel before ageing in oak barrels for 12 months, the other half is fermented in oak. This combination creates a classic, medium bodied claret with a good balance of black fruits, toasty notes and some sweet spice.

The beauty of the Graves though is that the fruit tends to ripen a little better than further north in the Medoc so the wines are silkier in texture. A beautiful Pomerol. This has intense raisiny richness from a blend of 77% Merlot that is balanced by a backbone of 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Cabernet Franc. Lower yielding vignes give intense rich fruit and lower volumes which are beautifully enhanced by aging in new oak barrique. Subtle flavours of plum, red berry and liquorice on the palate are nicely balanced with long and complex soft tannins.

Chateau de Louvie St Emilion Grand Cru 2015
Owned by talented winemaker, Christian Veyry (he was the superstar wine maker at Pomerol`s Ch Gazin and now consults for numerous famous châteaux in Bordeaux and Cahors) . Chateau Louvie is located in the heart of the region. Planted on soils of clay and sand, these beautiful vineyards have a average age of 35 years. The blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon creates a wine which has a soft and smooth mouthfeel with plenty of berry and plum fruits combined with woodland sents and a long savoury finish.
