Since 1771 the Fabre family have been owners of Château Fabre in the heart of the Corbières region of the Languedoc. The present owner, Louis Fabre, continues the ancient tradition and brings his own talents to the estate blend of classic varieties of Carignon, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. The wine is concentrated with the fragrance of wild herbs and red fruits on the nose, lots of dark berry fruits and woodland hints on the palate, backed by subtle oaky spice and soft ripe tannins.

This Provençal herb scented spicy Southern Rhône comes from one of the rising stars of the village of Vacqueyras. It is a blended from 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, vinified for maximum extraction and retention of black cherry, plum and spicy white pepper characters. The wine is rich, robust and warm with fruitiness and smoky bouquet lingering on the palate.

Chateau Bechereau, Lalande de Pomerol 2016

 

Chateau Béchereau has been family owned since the early 19th century and has vineyards in Neac on excellent clay soils. Half of the wine is fermented in stainless steel before ageing in oak barrels for 12 months, the other half is fermented in oak. This combination creates a classic, medium bodied claret with a good balance of black fruits, toasty notes and some sweet spice.

Made from 50 year old Carignan vines, grown on red chalky soils in the village of Cruzy just north from Béziers city in Languedoc. A ripe and concentrated wine, deep ruby in colour with an alluring nose of sweet ripe strawberry and dark cherry, it is supple with ripe fruit flavours and very light tannins.

Most wines in Beaujolais are made by the maceration carbonique fermentation method which minimises the tannins and ensures an early drinking red wine. Fleshy and aromatic, it has a deep purple colour with an abundance of juicy summer fruits. Strong ripe flavours of strawberry, raspberry and cherry fruit in the mouth are complimented by a soft tannins and a full and lasting finish.
